2023 LIGHTNING RIDGE OPAL & GEM FESTIVAL

WEDNESDAY, 26TH – SATURDAY, 29TH JULY 2023

The Lightning Ridge Opal & Gem Festival is a 4 day event held at the end of July each year. The Opal Festival includes the Opal Queen Ball, Opal & Gem Expo, IOJDAA Trade Show, and IOJDAA Jewellery Competition which is held biannually. The event attracts approximately 4000 people over the four days, and is the largest on the Australian opal events circuit.

JULY 29 2023 9:00am – 3:00pm | Saturday

Entry: FREE

Where: Agate Street – behind Chemist and Racecourse carpark

Over 150 stalls, indoor & outdoor featuring a huge range of products including gemstones, tools, lapidary supplies and lifestyle products.

Jewellers, buyers, wholesalers, miners, rock hounds, lapidary enthusiasts and tourists are invited to experience the best Lightning Ridge has to offer with this culmination of information, spectacular jewellery, collectables, great deals and fantastic networking opportunities.

Ticket price includes: 1 Complimentary glass of Treasury wine on arrival and entertainment. Food available through Bowling Club Bistro or Coffee Shop prior to event.

Dress Code: Suit & Tie/Cocktail

Theme: Red on Black

This event is strictly 18 years and over

Charities: Put your support behind your favourite entrant – the winner of People’s Choice will receive a $500 cheque to donate to her nominated charity.

The Ball is a great opportunity to dress up, connect with friends and celebrate the achievements of our phenomenal women.

The Opal Festival is run by the Opal & Gem Festival Committee and is a not for profit event with approximately 15% of profit is donated back into the local community.
