Below are a series of photos taken in mid 1915 at ANZAC Cove, Gallipoli and kindly provided to the Western Plains App from a private local family collection.
The photographs were taken by a young doctor, Hildred Irving Carlile, who had just sat for his final university medical exam in Australia before joining the armed forces. He found himself working as a doctor before he even heard the results from his medical exams.
The captions are from Dr Carlile himself, written under the photographs in the family album.
