The Apprentice position is based at Council's workshop, reports directly to the Mechanic and will learn and assist with maintaining the workshop, tools and equipment, repairing plant, and equipment items used in various Council operations. You will be a keen and self-motivated team player.

The Apprentice Mechanic position requires enrolment and study in a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a current manual class C, P1 or P2 drivers licence or obtain licence within 3 months of appointment and have completed school studies to NSW Record of School Achievement (RoSA) level or equivalent (year 10/School Certificate) to be eligible for tertiary enrolment.

Salary Range: T3 - T10 ($704.70 - $1104.48 per week) depending on qualifications and experience.
