Council is looking for a qualified Mechanic with relevant experience working on fleet vehicles, light plant and machinery and heavy plant and machinery. You’ll be required to competently carry out technically skilled and qualified maintenance, servicing and repairs of a range of Council’s plant and vehicles, equipment, water, sewage and irrigation systems and public facilities, including the design, repair and fabrication of parts, providing advice to Council on optimising equipment life, reliability and correct operational procedures.

The Mechanic position is a permanent fulltime position, 38 hours per week.


Salary Range: Grade 5 ($1298.37 - $1449.88 per week) depending on qualifications and experience.
