Coonamble Times & Western Plains App

We are seeking an experienced and effective News Editor to manage our two publications based out of Coonamble in western NSW beginning as soon as possible.

This could be a short-term or permanent position and a hybrid of on-site/remote work is a possibility for the right candidate.

The Coonamble Times is a 20-page local newspaper published weekly in print and digital formats.

The Western Plains App is a mobile news app+website that serves 11 local government areas. News is published 3 times each day, seven days a week.

You will manage an editorial staff of two full-time journalists and three remote part-time contracted journalists plus 1.6 FTE administration/sales/production staff.

The current editor is stepping aside but will be available for support.
