Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping transactions
- Prepare and/or review all, weekly and monthly financial reports in accordance with reporting calendars, ensuring that all reports are submitted on a timely basis for Board of Directors.
- Reconciliation, preparation and lodgment of monthly or quarterly business activity statements (BAS)
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Superannuation lodgment quarterly before deadlines and reporting requirements
- Managing the accounts’ payable function including the processing of invoices due for payment
- Managing the accounts’ receivable function including the allocation of payments
- Develop monthly payroll financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating and business taxes.
- Processing payroll and other related payroll tasks
- Assist in counting and reconcile the weekly banking for the Club.
- Process incoming mail and outgoing mail.
- Assist with stocktakes, data entry and checking at month end as required.
- Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
- Follow Workplace, Health and Safety (WH&S) procedures such as:
- Practicing safe manual handling techniques
- Understanding fire evacuation and emergency procedures
- Following all Club security procedures
- Reporting accidents, near misses and hazards promptly
- Reporting any suspicious practices or activity
- Understanding good office ergonomics
- Abiding by policies such as Anti-Discrimination, Workplace Harassment etc
- Complete any other duties or undertake any new responsibilities as directed by the Manager/Treasurer.
