The Role:

Koonambil is looking for a caring and passionate Aged Care Personal Support Workers.

We have permanent part time, casual and trainee ship positions available

About you:

• Previous residential aged care experience will be highly regarded
• Commenced or completed Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)or equivalent.
• Traineeships are available for this role
• Effective organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people
• Full immunisation status for COVID 19 and influenza
• 100 point ID for Current Aged Care Worker National Police Check
• Current First aid certificate
• Effective communication, leadership, and management skills.
• Eagerness to provide high quality and safe residential aged Care

Responsibilities:

• Provide all aspects of care to the Resident per their care plan ensuring that care delivered is of the highest quality
• Providing person-centred support and independence to Residents
• Personal care, nutrition and food intake, social activities, medical and social appointments, lifestyle and leisure activities, and basic health care 
• Care activities may include; showering and personal care assistance, medication management, social & emotional support etc
• Provide companionship and support throughout day-to-day activities
• Work alongside a team of healthcare professionals, family, friends, and carers
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while complying with safety policies and procedures.
• Complete documentation related to care.
