Koonambil Aged Care is seeking a PPT Gardner/ Maintenance Officer to work in our Team.

The duties include (but not limited to):

• Daily checks of the facility and grounds to ensure the grounds are safe and secure
• Maintain the grounds of the facility to support the safety of residents, staff and visitors
• Attend to minor repairs to the building and surroundings as needed or directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

·        Gardening & External cleaning Duties 

• Maintain all equipment in good working order
• Report any equipment malfunction to the maintenance supervisor
• Ensure the safe storage of chemicals within the aged care facility
• Communicate effectively with other staff and residents to foster teamwork in the aged care residence
• Treat all residents, staff and visitors with courtesy and respect at all times
• Attend meetings and mandatory training
• Maintain a safe working environment to prevent accidents and maintain healthy and safe lifting techniques
• Must be personable and willing to speak and liaise with residents
