Location: Dubbo (inc Wellington) and Bourke, NSW

Employment: Temporary 24-month, full-time

Hours: 38 hours per week, some after-hours and weekends

Salary: $110,000 plus super and work vehicle

Drivers Licence: Required

About the Welcome Experience

The Welcome Experience assists key public sector workers and their families in preparing for and settling into regional NSW communities.

By connecting newcomers with local resources and people, we aim to create a welcoming environment that encourages long-term residency.


About the Role

We’re seeking two dynamic and proactive Local Connectors to support key workers in Dubbo (inc Wellington) and Bourke.

As a bridge between new essential workers and the community, you’ll collaborate with employers and local groups to ensure a welcoming experience across sectors including education, healthcare, law enforcement, and community services.

Key Responsibilities

• Engagement and Support: Act as the primary contact for new essential workers, facilitating connections with local resources.

• Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrate awareness and support for diverse community members.

• Relocation Assistance: Guide essential workers through relocation stages: Attract, Prepare, Welcome, and Stay.

• Community Engagement: Design and host events to integrate newcomers and promote collaboration.

• Administration: Maintain accurate records and manage budgets using CRM systems.
