Your New Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead an Australian Disability Enterprise in the regional town of Coonamble. You’ll be managing the operational and commercial elements of the business and ensuring we do this by also meeting the NDIS practice standards. We’re looking for someone that is passionate about working with people and drives excellence in service provision. You’ll need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach and be able to operate strategically with program alignment and opportunities to improve outcomes. 


You will:

• Contribute to the implementation of effective risk management procedures to ensure compliance with legal, employment and governance requirements and NDIS quality and safeguards commission including compliance with approved restricted practices.

• Analyse and respond to business information and oversee the implementation of feedback and evaluation processes that promote consumer participation and lead to processes of continuous improvement based on analysis of outcomes and impact.

• Manage, monitor, and analyse the operational budgets, and investigating opportunities for program sustainability.

• Develop and maintain the commercial viability of the relevant business unit(s), and establish best-practice processes, procedures, and controls to ensure production and quality control are of a consistently high standard.

• Provide professional, prompt services to customers including responding to customer enquiries and correspondence; meet customer delivery requirements and ensure strict quality control standards.

• Compile reports and other documentation as required by the organisation and the funding body and ensure all documentation is provided on time and to a high standard.

• Supervise, direct, and support the Coordinators and Support Workers to ensure smooth day to day operations of community access and participation services, including client service delivery, oversight of roster development, entering payroll information and implementation of policy and procedures.

• Undertake supervision, including performance appraisal processes, people potential and growth and appropriate development for employees. Undertake performance management and grievance procedures to address performance issues in consultation with the Team Leaders

• Ensure decisions regarding participants support, including behaviour management, are evidence-based, documented, align with organisational policy and procedure, and within the NDIS Quality framework.

• Ensure all Team leaders and Support Workers meet the NDIS code of conduct, NDIS required training and any legislative requirements.


To be successful, you will need:

• Relevant bachelor qualification/s in social work, human services, community development and / or experience in related fields.

• Demonstrated experience leading and supporting a team of professionals with diverse expertise and capabilities.

• Demonstrated experience in staff management within a complex service environment.

• Experience working with clients with complex and challenging needs.

• Demonstrated capacity to participate in strategic planning.

• Demonstrated experience and understanding of the NDIS and quality service delivery.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately in multiple settings and at various levels.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver agreed deadlines.
