Walgett Shire Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join Council’s team to fill the position of Administration Officer. This permanent fulltime position’s responsibilities will include greeting customers and directing enquiries to the relevant Council department, cash handling and receipting and assisting with the distribution of electronic records. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of relevant work experience, proven numeracy and literacy, strong phone etiquette and customer service skills, good organisational skills and a class C driver's licence.

Walgett Shire Council is a local government on the border of New South Wales and Queensland that provides services to Walgett, Lightning Ridge, Collarenebri and the surrounding rural areas. The Shire covers an area of 22,000 square kilometres and has a population of approximately 6,000.
