Walgett Shire Council is a local government on the border of New South Wales and Queensland that provides services to Walgett, Lightning Ridge, Collarenebri and the surrounding rural areas. The Shire covers an area of 22,000 square kilometres and has a population of approximately 6,000.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer this permanent full time position is responsible for providing minor building and maintenance services for Council owned and managed assets. 

The successful applicant will hold a trade qualification, WHS card, be able to work independently with attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills and a Class C drivers licence.

Remuneration subject to qualifications and competencies as identified in the position description - Grade 4 range $60,445.00 - $73,769.00
