25-year-old Cobar man dies after falling from moving vehicleThe incident occurred on a station near Tilpa and is under investigation.

On Saturday, 16 October, tragedy struck the Cobar community as a young man died after falling from a moving vehicle. 


The incident occurred on a Tilpa station on the Tilpa-Louth Road, about 350km North-West of Broken Hill. 


Around 6pm that night, the 25-year-old man fell from his position on the rear tray of a Toyota Landcruiser. 


The Rural Flying Doctors Service were called to the incident, arriving at about 8:45pm. 


The Cobar man died at the scene, after suffering fatal head injuries. 


Officers attached the Barrier Police District also attended.


Investigations around the incident and the circumstances that occurred are underway, with a report to be prepared for the information of the coroner.
