A 53-year-old Parkes woman was arrested yesterday for possession of a prohibited substance.

Police executed a search warrant at a home on Junction Street, Parkes at 10:30 am where officers found and seized a crystalised substance believed to be methylamphetamine, cannabis, a flick knife, and a mobile phone. 

The woman was charged with possession of a prohibited drug, part supplying cannabis with a quantity over indictable and under commercial quantity, and supplying a prohibited drug over indictable and under commercial quality. 

She was granted conditional bail and will appear in front of the Parkes Local Court on September 5.
