Baradine crash leaves one man dead

A crash 15kms north of Baradine has claimed the life of one man and another has been seriously injured.

Emergency services were called to Gwabegar Road around 10.30pm Friday night.

Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended and found a Toyota Landcruiser utility had left the roadway and crashed.

A 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 22-year-old in a serious condition was treated by paramedics and airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.

Police have established a crime scene, and an investigation is underway into the accident. Specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit are assisting.
