Police are investigating after a man's body was found following a house fire in Collarenebri on Monday 10 June.
Emergency services were called to a property on Boora Road around 12:50pm following reports a house had burned down.
"Fire and Rescue NSW attended and located a body at the scene," a police spokesperson said.
"A post-mortem examination will be conducted in coming days to determine cause of death and confirm identity; however, the occupant, a 51-year-old man, remains unaccounted for."
The spokesperson said officers from the Central North Police District are working with specialist fire investigators to determine the cause of the fire.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information on the fire to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
