NSW Police report that a woman has been charged with property-related offences following an investigation into multiple alleged break and enters in the Bourke area throughout the Christmas and New Year period.
Officers from Central North Police District received reports of a number of beak-ins and property thefts in the Bourke area between Friday 24 December and Friday 31 December 2021.
Following inquiries, investigators attended a home on Harris Street about 9.40am yesterday, 31 December, and arrested a 33-year-old woman.
During a search of the property, police seized bank cards allegedly stolen from a Bourke motel about 4.30am that morning and methylamphetamine.
A subsequent search was also conducted at a property on Wilson Street where police seized personal identification and property.
The woman was taken to Bourke Police Station and charged with break and enter dwelling - house with intent (steal), enter dwelling with intent (steal), two counts of larceny, steal property in dwelling-house, attempt aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, enter vehicle or boat without consent of owner/occupier, dishonestly obtain property by deception, dispose property - theft - serious indictable offence, aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, and possess prohibited drug.
She was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court today, Saturday 1 January 2022.
