Brewarrina woman rams police vehicleA charge of 'predatory driving' has been laid against a woman in Brewarrina over the weekend.

A woman has been charged after allegedly driving at a police officer then ramming a fully marked police SUV in Brewarrina late on Saturday evening.


At about 10.30pm on Saturday 18 December, officers attached to Central North Police District, attended a premises on Bathurst Street, Brewarrina, for an unrelated matter.


Police will allege a woman has driven a Ford Focus towards police who were standing on the side of the road, with an officer forced to take evasive action to avoid being hit.


The woman has conducted a U-turn then allegedly drove the vehicle into the rear of a fully-marked stationary police SUV.


The 26-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Brewarrina Police Station where she was charged with predatory driving, and affray.


She was refused bail before appearing in Dubbo Local Court on Sunday 19 December, where she was formally refused bail to appear in Bourke Local Court on Monday 20 December 2021.


The officers involved were not injured.
