Can you help Police find Foxy?

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man last seen in Lightning Ridge more than a week ago.


A multi agency land and air search will be conducted in the area from 10am today (Saturday 6 April 2024)


Rexford (known as Foxy) Layton Wood, 68, was last seen at a Lightning Ridge hotel on Friday 29 March 2024.

Officers from Central North Police District were notified last night (Friday 5 April 2024), and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.


Police and family hold concerns for Foxy's welfare due to a number of health concerns.


Foxy is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of medium build, balding with a white beard, and brown eyes. It’s unknown what he was wearing when last seen. He is known to frequent the Lightning Ridge area.
