Among the 36 new cases recorded in the Western Local Health District up to 8pm last night is one in Gulargambone, the first for the small community.
Two new cases have been identified in Bourke and one in Narromine.
Cases in Dubbo continue to grow with 23 listed yesterday, along with 3 in Wellington, 2 in Orange and 4 in Bathurst. The fragments found in sewage in Parkes and Coonamble remain a concern and residents are being urged to monitor their symptoms and come out and get tested.
Assistant Commissioner Geoff McKechnie has again asked community members to avoid movement and all contact outside their immediate household unless authorised.
"Our tracing shows that this outbreak right across our region is all due to a small number of people who are still moving around and who have spread it to even our small isolated communities," Mr McKechnie said.
Mr McKechnie urged anyone employing workers out of the Greater Sydney area to ensure that they are complying will all the latest Health Orders.
"There are still people coming out of Sydney and bringing covid with them. They are telling lies and being dishonest."
"This could be prevented by people in our communities," he said.
Caravanners were also put on notice. "Stay where you are or move directly to your home," Mr McKechnie said.
There have been no new cases identified in Gilgandra or Walgett in the 24 hours to 8pm last night. Please note that Khans Supa IGA in Lightning Ridge is listed as a Casual Contact venue on Tuesday 17 August.
Two locations in Narromine had already been listed as venues of concern - Narromine Liberty Petrol Station and Narromine Pharmacy.
In Bourke Khans Supa IGA and SPAR Bourke are also listed.
Anyone who visited one of these venues at the times listed is a casual contact and must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.
Please check Alerts & Announcements for further information on dates and times and whether venues are Close Contact or Casual Contact sites.
Everyone in NSW must stay at home unless they have a reasonable excuse to leave. Visitors are not permitted in a home, including family and friends, unless the visitor is providing care and assistance or for compassionate reasons where two people are in a relationship but do not live together.
New rules around mask wearing come into force tomorrow Monday 22 August. Check Latest COVID-19 rules .
