Transport for NSW are advising motorists of changed traffic conditions on the Kamilaroi Highway about 40 kilometres west of Brewarrina, from today (Monday 20 March).

Brewarrina Shire Council will carry out work including shoulder widening, culvert work and sealing the road surface.

Changed traffic conditions including lane closures, alternating stop/slow and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place during work hours.

Work is expected to take up to four weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Work hours will be 7am to 6pm from Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Motorists should allow up to five minutes of extra travel time.

Outside of work hours, both lanes will be open and revert to the posted speed limit.
