Coonabarabran man injured during aggravated break-inPolice are currently seeking information to assist their inquiries following an aggravated break and enter where a Coonabarabran man was injured.

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated break and enter in the Western Plains yesterday morning.


About 4.10am (Wednesday 24 February), an unidentified man forced entry into a building on the Newell Highway, Coonabarabran.


The man then assaulted a cleaner – a 58-year-old man – before he fled the location on foot into the bushland.



The cleaner was later treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for minor injuries.


Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.


Police say they would like to speak with a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.


He is described as wearing a black face covering, hoodie, pants and dark shoes.
