Reduction of Water Restrictions

Coonamble Shire Council wishes to advise residents that water restrictions have been reduced, effective Thursday 5 February 2026.

Under the revised restrictions, residents in the Coonamble township will no longer operate under an alternate day watering system.

Watering of gardens and lawns, irrigation use, washing of vehicles, and all other outdoor water usage is now permitted between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:00am only across the entire township.

These arrangements will remain in place until 1 May 2026.

Watering during evening and early morning hours helps minimise evaporation and ensures more efficient use of the town's water supply.

The community is encouraged to continue using water wisely and to remain mindful of overall consumption.
