From 12:00 am on Friday 3 February through to Sunday 12:00 am 5 February residents of Walgett Shire will be placed under extreme fire risk.
The North West Rural Fire Service say a further warning will go out to residents of Warren, Nyngan, and Coonamble Shires as they will be facing a high fire risk.
All fire permits will be suspended over the two-day period.
North West RFS will also have extended operation hours over Friday and Saturday, operating from 8am to 8pm.
District Manager of the North West RFS, David Nicholson is warning people to remain vigilant and report all fires this weekend.
"We want to remind people that any fire that starts has the potential to be devastating, and can cause significant damage," said Mr Nicholson.
"I would like people not to be using machinery in paddocks that can start fires such as mowers, slashers, welders, and grinders."
"We also ask people to use their absolute best judgement when it comes to the use of headers."
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts Walgett will be experiencing temperatures of 32 and 29 degrees on Friday and Saturday, with winds of up to 30km/h.
Residents are recommended to check the Bureau of Meteorology, The Fires Near Me App, as well as the RFS website to ensure they are up to date with any news.
"We will more than likely be in total fire ban for Walgett; but refer to the RFS Website for further info," said District Manager Nicholson.
"As always we ask people to report any fires or smoke to 000."
