Over 600 Christmas lovers celebrated all things festive at the annual Warren Street Christmas Party on Friday 2 December.

The crowd came from near and far including Warren locals and travellers from close- by towns including Coonamble and Nyngan.

The main street of Warren was filled with market stalls, live entertainment, tasty food stalls and a large mingling crowd.

Warren Shire Council's Project Administration Officer Rebecca Christian said there was something at the Warren Street Christmas Party for everyone.

"The community of Warren really got into the Christmas spirit on Friday," Ms Christian said.

"We had a lot of local entertainment showcase their talents including a band called 'Dreaming Drifters'- who are a combination band of Sydney professionals and local children from the Warren High School, 28 market stalls including plants, wooden toys, jewellery, clothing, chopping boards- nearly anything you could think of, it was there.

Local homewares, gifts, fashion and coffee destination Ellerslie Lane saw a constant stream of visitors during the street party.

"We also had Warren Dance Experience perform, Christmas carols sung by local school choirs, face painting, jumping castle, mechanical bull for the young children (and young at heart), bar facilities hosted by Warren Rugby Club and even fireworks," she said.

Highlights from the event included the Santa visit and the fireworks.

"The fireworks were ignited at Victoria Park and created a showcase of colours across the sky, wowing attendees in Warren's main street. We also had a visit from the big man in red, which is always a hit with the children as well as Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, The Hon. Sam Farraway MLC," Ms Christian said.

Business owners were also involved in the festive fun, participating in the Best Dressed Shop Front competition.

"Businesses are encouraged to have their shopfronts dressed and ready for the event, in anticipation of the Best Dressed Shop Front competition, which will be officially judged between 16-18 December," Ms Christian said.

The Warren Street Christmas Party was funded through Reconnecting Regional Event NSW Community Events.
