Fourth person charged over Nyngan meth labA police raid on a property near Nyngan has now seen four people arrested and appear in court.

An investigation into the alleged supply and manufacture of methylamphetamine has now seen four people charged in relation to a portable meth lab east of Nyngan.


In May 2022, detectives attached to Central North Police District established Strike Force Rudelle to investigate the alleged manufacture of methylamphetamine at a Nyngan property.


Three people – two men aged 38 and 48, and a 29-year-old woman – were arrested and charged on Thursday 2 June 2022 following two search warrants at separate Nyngan properties.


During one of the warrants on the Mitchell Highway, a clandestine laboratory was located and dismantled by specialist police from the Drug and Firearms Squad’s Chemical Operations Team.


All three remain before the courts.


Following further extensive inquiries, officers arrested a 26-year-old man on Oxley Street, Nyngan, about 3.30pm on Tuesday 12 July.


He was taken to Nyngan Police Station and charged with the following offences:

  • Owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises;
  • Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity;
  • Take part in manufacture of prohibited drug;
  • Supply prohibited drug <= small quantity (x2);
  • Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority;
  • Acquire ammunition subject to prohibition order;
  • Possess prohibited drug;
  • Deal with property proceeds of crime < $100000;
  • Possess unauthorised firearm (x2)
  • Not keep firearm safely – not pistol/prohibited firearm; and
  • Acquire firearm subject to prohibition order.


He was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court yesterday Wednesday 13 July 2022.


Police allege the four people charged were transporting a portable clandestine lab between Nyngan and Narromine.
