The Trangie community will be rocking this weekend - hosting trucks and tractors as well as a great line-up of musical performers.
Already, trucks and tractors are rolling into town, ready to take part in the biennial Trangie Truck and Tractor Show with events including a tractor pull, demolition derby, barrel race, shearing competition and live music. Billed as a family event, on Saturday, visitors can stroll around and check out over 300 trucks, tractors and motorbikes on display at the Showground.
Things kick off on Friday night with the Beers and Gears dinner which includes the Wall of Fame presentation. The whole community has embraced this event with businesses "revved" up for a big weekend and Trangie's cafes, pubs, and clubs including a number of TTT specials on the menu.
The main event starts 8am Saturday and closes at 10.30pm with a jam packed program as well as market stalls, kids amusement rides, lolly hunts and much more.
The Trangie CWA are one local group who can't wait to swing the doors of their "Devonshire Tea Rooms open to those attending.
"We are proud to announce that monies raised are going towards our wonderful community project… to develop Trangie's very own co-working space," a CWA spokesperson said.
This money will be added to funding already received by CWA, with renovations about to begin.
That's twice the reason to indulge in freshly baked scones, jam and cream!
While the big rigs and tractors are the stars of the show, there is plenty of excitement in town around the Saturday night performance of singer and musician Adam Brand, supported by Balls n All! and Matt Cornell.
The Trangie Truck and Tractor Show committee can't wait to welcome visitors and locals and offer some helpful advice to those coming along.
In regards to alcohol, organisers say, "It is important to remember that this is a family friendly event - we have a full bar located onsite that will be open from 11:30am. While you are able to bring food to the event, we ask that you do not bring ANY drinks to the event."
This fabulous community event is definitely something to put in your diary for this weekend. The Trangie Truck and Tractor Show committee look forward to seeing everyone and have offered grateful thanks to their many sponsors.
"A massive thankyou to our sponsors for TTT 2023. Events like this one do not happen without the very generous support of local people and businesses. Thanks a million guys," a spokesperson said.
