There's a lot to do across the Western Plains over Easter with almost every town gearing up to put on community events for the enjoyment of visitors and locals.
Warrumbungle Shire encourages people to hop over in their direction and support some great local events.
“From Easter egg hunts to cultural celebrations and outdoor adventures there is something for everyone,” said Warrumbungle Shire Mayor, Ambrose Doolan.
“Stop by the Visitors Information Centre for access to itineraries, crafting travel plans and to learn about the array of resources on offer to enhance Easter adventures in the area.”
Mr Doolan said the region was absolutely booming with events. A country music festival and bunny bazaar are just two things on offer.
“Our region offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect with loved ones, unwind in nature, and create lasting memories in a serene and welcoming environment, so be sure to keep an eye out for what is on and how to participate this Easter," he said.
The best way to plan your weekend is to head to the Warrumbungle Shire Council's online event calendar.
The weather is looking great.
“This time of the year is such a beautiful time with the autumn colours starting to show, it will be great to see community member and visitors out and about this Easter, supporting our amazing region,” Cr Doolan said.
Travelling on the roads is always a concern at this time of year and Warrumbungle Shire suggested logging into the Live Traffic App NSW to keep up to date with any road issue.
"The Live Traffic NSW app features maps and real-time information about roads and changed traffic conditions," they advise. "You can save your trip and receive notifications if any traffic incidents occur on route to your holiday destination. Live Traffic also includes weather events, bushfires and flooding, that may impact your journey on roads throughout NSW."
