Man charged with two stabbings in Coonamble

A 30 year old man will appear in Dubbo Local Court today after two separate domestic violence-related stabbing incidents in Coonamble early on Thursday morning.

The man first allegedly broke into a unit in Limerick Street and stabbed a 58 year old man known to him in the ribs, before going to a house in Warrena Lane and stabbing a 43 year old man in the chest.

Investigating police found the man in a car being driven into Limerick Street, and used a taser to make the arrest.

The accused is charged with five offences related to the stabbing incidents, including aggravated break and enter and driving as an unaccompanied learner.

Both victims were treated on the scene by ambulance paramedics.
