A man has died after going swimming in a dam near Carinda. 

Emergency services were called to a property on Carinda road on Monday, 1 January 2024, following reports a male swimmer had gone missing in a storage dam. 

An extensive search of the dam was conducted by Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Ambulance and the SES.

The body of a man believed to be aged in his 30s was found at about 4:30pm. 

The body is believed to be that of the missing man. 

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
