Man found hiding in boot charged

A wanted man has been charged with outstanding offences in Bourke yesterday. 


About 2.30pm on Thursday 18 August 2022, officers from Central North Police District attended a home in Adelaide Street, Bourke after receiving information that a wanted man was at the location. 


Police spoke to an occupant, before a 24-year-old man was discovered a short time later hiding in the boot of a vehicle parked on the property and arrested. 



He was taken to Bourke Hospital for treatment of a pre-existing injury. Upon release, he was taken to Bourke Police Station. 


The man was charged with two outstanding warrants relating to domestic violence related offences.


He was refused bail to appear before Bourke Local Court today (Friday 19 August 2022).
