Man refused bail after break, enter and assault in Narromine yesterdayPolice had to subdue a man using OC spray before arresting him at a home in Narromine yesterday

Police used pepper spray to subdue a man who forced his way into a home in Narromine yesterday evening, threatening residents and allegedly striking a 15 year old girl.

 

Officers were called to a home on Merilba Street Narromine at about 6.30pm on Thursday 12 November, following reports of a break, enter and assault.

 

Police will allege the man kicked open a door of a unit before smashing a window inside the home.

 

As residents attempted to flee the scene, the man allegedly punched a 15 year old girl in the head.

 

As NSW Ambulance paramedics were treating the 26 year old man on site for his injuries, he allegedly kicked a paramedic in the knee.

 

The man was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital for further treatment, before he was conveyed to Dubbo Police Station.

 

He was charged with two counts of common assault, resist officer in execution of duty and aggravated break and enter with intent - knowing person there.

 

He appeared at Dubbo Local Court today (Friday 12 November 2021), where he was formerly refused bail to reappear at Dubbo Local Court on Thursday 13 January 2021.
