A teen will appear in court today (6 January) after being charged over a spate of break-ins at businesses in Narromine.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District commenced an investigation following the break in of a number of Narromine-based businesses on Sunday (2 January) and yesterday (5 January).
Food and drink products were reportedly stolen from the businesses.
Following inquiries, police located a 16-year-old boy in his Narromine home yesterday, where he was arrested for the various break-ins across the community.
He was taken to Narromine Police Station and charged with two counts of break and enter house steal value and four counts of break and enter dwelling-house with intent.
The boy was refused bail to appear via video link at a children’s court today.
The crimes follows a trail of vandalism and break-ins that have been occurring across the Western Plains, with another juvenile involved in an incident in Coonamble last Sunday that saw 11 main street shop windows smashed and another break-in to a residence reported in Bourke yesterday, where a 15-year-old boy was arrested.
