Narromine police car crashed after station break and enter

An allegedly stolen and crashed police vehicle has resulted in an 11-year-old boy being treated for minor injuries.

A break-and-enter of the Narromine Police Station saw the police vehicle allegedly stolen.

Orana Mid-Western Police officers were called to Temoin Street about 8pm (Monday 29 January) where the fully marked police utility had left the roadway and hit a tree.

An 11-year-old boy was allegedly found beside the vehicle, where he was treated by NSW Ambulance before being taken to Narromine Hospital.

He was then transferred to Dubbo Hospital with minor injuries.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries are underway.

The vehicle sustained substantial damage.
