National Park sites remain closed in Castlereagh areaAreas of the Warrumbungle National Park and the Pilliga Forest remain closed tomorrow

Due to the continued EXTREME fire danger rating, the following applies across NPWS Castlereagh sites on Wednesday 4 October 2023:

 

  • Warrumbungle National Park remote campsites to remain closed until 9am Thursday 4th Oct 2023.
  • Warrumbungle National Park walking tracks will be opened.
  • Boonalla Aboriginal Area to remain closed.
  • Salt Caves camping area to remain closed.
  • Dandry Gorge to remain closed.
  • Coolah Tops National Park will remain open.

 

There is a TOTAL FIRE BAN in place across all of these areas.
