A fire early this morning has seen a community hall in Narromine suffer serious damage with some sections almost totally destroyed.
Six crews from Fire & Rescue NSW (FRNSW) along with the Rural Fire Service were called to the blaze in Meringo Street shortly before 5am on Sunday 20 February.
Authorities evacuated neighbouring homes as the roof of the hall collapsed.

The hall suffered significant damage and investigations are underway into the cause of the fire.

Acting Superintendent Mathew Sigmund from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
"The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you," Acting Superintendent Sigmund said.
"It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations."
