New possible COVID-19 exposure sites added to regional NSW (update)Additional venues of concern in regional NSW have been added based on locations visited by two travelling Victorians that tested positive in the Sunshine Coast earlier this week.

NSW Health has announced additional venues of concern associated with two confirmed cases of COVID-19 who travelled through regional NSW while potentially infectious from 1 June to 5 June.

The cases drove from Melbourne - departing during a city-wide lockdown - to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, stopping at places in Gillenbah, Forbes, Dubbo and Moree and signed in to several venues using QR codes.

Anyone who was at any of the following new venues of concern at the times listed below is encouraged to contact NSW Health on 1800 943 553, get tested and isolate until they receive further information:

  • Forbes, Browns Sportspower at 137 Rankin Street on Tuesday 1 June from 3pm-3.30pm

  • Dubbo, Best and Less at 95 Macquarie Street on Wednesday 2 June from 12.20pm-1pm

NSW Health is continuing to investigate the movements of these cases in regional New South Wales, and have said this list of venues and times will likely be updated.

NSW Health reminds people to check the NSW Health website regularly as the health advice for venues may be updated.

Anyone who lives in or has visited these areas since 1 June, is being asked to be especially vigilant for the onset of even the mildest of cold-like symptoms and is urged to come forward for testing immediately if they appear, then isolate until a negative result is received.

As of Friday 11 June, there have been no locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours up until 8pm on Thursday 10 June from a total of 18,525 reported tests. Also during this period, a total of 15,623 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
