Police are appealing for assistance to locate a vehicle stolen in Nyngan over the weekend which they believe could be being used to commit further crimes.

At about 5.30pm on Sunday 2 November 2025, a 44-year-old man parked his vehicle – a Volkswagen Utility – at a carpark on the intersection of Nyngan and Pangee Street in Nyngan.

When he returned the next day, there was no vehicle to be found.

Officers attached to Central North Police District were notified of the theft and commenced investigations.

Following inquiries, it was identified the Volkswagen was stolen about 1.30am on Monday 3 November 2025 and a single cabin Toyota Landcruiser was seen driving with the stolen vehicle.

Both vehicles were seen crossing the Bogan River a short time later.

As investigations continue, police have released an image of the stolen and are appealing for assistance to locate it as they believe it is being used to commit further offences.

The vehicle is described as being a grey 2021 Volkswagen Amarok with a black bull bar, snorkel and tool accessible tray area.
