Police calling for witnesses after Bourke fatality

Police have established a crime scene after the body of a woman was located in Bourke today.


Shortly after 8am today (Tuesday 29 October 2024), officers from Central North Police District responded to reports the body of a woman had been located along Parkdale Road, Bourke.



At the time of writing, officers had secured a crime scene and were awaiting the arrival of specialist police.


The woman is believed to be aged 47-years-old, and at the time of writing was yet to be formally identified.


A 49-year-old man known to the woman assisted with inquiries at Bourke Police Station.


No further information is available at this stage.
