Severe damage has been reported to buildings in Burren Junction following Friday's storm. [IMAGE: Facebook/ Roy Butler MP]Walgett Shire Council staff will return to the tiny community of Burren Junction west of Walgett after a hail storm battered the village on Friday 7 November.
The weather event stretched from areas through to Wee Waa.
A Council spokesperson said staff were in Burren Junction on Sunday, following an assessment that identified several areas needing clean-up, to reduce hazards ahead of any further storms.
The team has completed an initial clean-up and will return during the week to continue the work.

"We also visited Rowena, and our crew/s in Collarenebri and Carinda did a drive-around to check for any damage. If we’ve missed something in your area, please let us know."

The storm lifted roofs from homes in Burren Junction, while Carinda locals witnessed hail the size of golf balls.
No critical injuries have been reported, but one person was taken to Collarenebri Hospital with minor injuries.
