Transport for NSW have advised of changed traffic conditions on the Oxley Highway about 18 kilometres west of Gilgandra from Monday 30 January to Sunday 12 February.
Work will occur at the intersection with Nancarrows Road and is expected to take 14 days to complete, weather permitting.
Similar to current works on the Castlereagh Highway and Tomingley Road south of Narromine, these works are to carry out geotechnical investigations in preparation for Inland Rail crossings.
In a recent update, Transport for NSW have also advised an extension of the changed traffic conditions at the Castlereagh Highway near Curban.
The work, about 22 kilometres north of Gilgandra, was expected to be completed by Friday 27 January but has now been extended to Sunday 5 February.
At both sites, work hours are 7am to 6pm from Monday to Sunday, weather permitting.
Lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h may be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience.
