Police have charged two people following a probe into alleged supply of illegal drugs in the Bourke area.

Officers attached to Central North Police District established Strike Force Hargen in April 2025 to investigate the supply in the area.

Police say that they executed a search warrant at a home on Wortumertie Street in the town at about 6.30am on Tuesday 3 June.

"Police located and seized, heroin, cash, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia," a police spokesperson said.

"A man aged 46 and a woman aged 59 were both issued a Court Attendance Notice for possess prohibited drug."

They will appear at Bourke Local Court on Thursday 7 August 2025.
