Two men from Greater Sydney have been arrested and are expected to be charged with the assault and robbery of an elderly man from Byrock, south of Bourke, early last year.
Details on the January 2020 incident were reported on by the Western Plains App last week (see link below) after police released computer-generated images of two men they believed would be able to help in their investigations.

A 27-year-old man alleged to have been involved has already been arrested and charged and is currently before the courts.
As a result of investigations by Strive Force Kinilibah, which was set up to investigate the circumstances, a further two men were arrested earlier today (Thursday 28 October).

Commander of the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad Detective Superintendent Andrew Koutsoufis addressed the media this morning and said today's arrests had been a long time coming.
"Following extensive investigations, strike force detectives and detectives from Central North Police District attended a unit at Bankstown and arrested a 28-year-old man about 6am today," Det. Supt. Koutsoufis said.
"As a result of the search warrant, a number of items were seized, including clothing, a mobile phone and a kilo of cannabis.
"A second man, aged 25, was also arrested at a home in Revesby Heights where a search warrant was conducted. A number of items of clothing and a mobile phone were seized from there as well."
Commander of the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad Detective Superintendent Andrew Koutsoufis said police believe the victim was targeted in the "vicious and cowardly attack".
According to Det. Supt. Koutsoufis, both men were being held at Bankstown Police Station assisting police with inquiries and were expected to be charged with a number of related offences in the near future.
"We allege the three men that have been arrested for the alleged matters were involved in hunting out in the area," he said.
"I can't comment on the exact nature of the relationship they had with the victim, however, we can say this was a targeted attack."
While the victim, who is in his 70s, has since made a full recovery and was aware of today's operation, Det. Supt. Koutsoufis described the incident as "vicious" and "cowardly".
"He was tied to a chair, he was assaulted seriously - I believe one of his fingers was seriously cut as well," he said.
"This is a great example of the detectives from the country areas of our state with strike force detectives working closely together to resolve a serious offence."
