Coonamble Shire Council is pleased to announce that the Boil Water Alert for Coonamble has officially been lifted.

Our water treatment plant has now reached the required chlorine disinfection target (Critical Control Point – CCP) of 2.0 and the whole water reticulation system has been turned over with chlorinated water., meaning tap water is safe to use as normal.

Water Restrictions Still in Place

Please note that hand watering ONLY is permitted between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:00am.

Community water access from the Showgrounds tank supply remains available:

• 7:00am – 12:00pm

• 4:00pm – 6:00pm

Upcoming Water Interruption – Sunday 22nd February

On Sunday 22nd February at approximately 12:00pm, residents on the Eastern side of Coonamble may experience a short water interruption.

This is due to scheduled repairs of a water main following the main street break a couple of weeks ago.
