UPDATED Appeal to help find missing woman - BourkeConcerns for missing woman

UPDATE:

A woman reported missing from Bourke has been located safe and well at 1.45pm today (Wednesday 12 April 2023).

Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.



ORIGINAL STORY:

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman who went missing in Bourke on Saturday night.


Chanelle McKellar, aged 39, was last seen at a club on Mitchell Street, Bourke, about 11.30pm on Saturday (8 April 2023).


Officers from Central North Police District were notified yesterday (Tuesday 11 April 2023) when she could not be located or contacted and commenced inquiries to locate her.


Police and family members hold concerns for Chanelle’s welfare.

Chanelle is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 160cm tall, of thin build with long black hair.


She was last seen wearing a blue jeans and a red jumper.


Chanelle is known to frequent the area of Bourke.


Anyone who may have information is urged to contact Bourke Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
