Police have appealed for information on a man wanted on an arrest warrant, who they believe may be in Bourke.

Twenty-seven-year-old Germaine Edwards could also be in Dubbo, according to police, although his whereabouts are currently unknown.

He is described as being Aboriginal in appearance, about 160cm tall and around 60kg with a thin build and black hair.

Police did not say what he is charged with.

"We strongly encourage them to present to their nearest Police Station to have this matter promptly dealt with," police said on the Orana Mid-Western Police District Facebook page.
