"We will win more than we lose" - Nyngan Tigers upbeatNyngan Tigers are heading in with optimism.

Nyngan Tigers facing another long season and long travel are intent on becoming a force again in the elite Peter McDonald Cup group 10 11 League competition.

Player numbers always tough but in 2024 they competed strongly against the top teams.

Under 18s are below strength but a call out to bolster the lineup is working.

This Sunday’s opener against the spectacular and sometimes inconsistent Wellington Cowboys will be tough.

Both sides can turn on the razzle dazzle.

The Cowboys zoomed into the finals but ill-discipline cost them at crucial times, its not lost on the Tigers who also need to hold off Wellington’s fast running style.

Former Dubbo star Corey Cox added to the sparkle in 2024 with his big turn of foot and captain James Tuitahi believes his side is ready.

‘’We are ready and can be win more than we lose. We are in a winning frame of mind.‘’

After the Cowboys, the Tigers have back-to-back home games Lithgow Workies then powerful Dubbo CYMS who finished fast last year.

Nyngan will be hoping Lithgow Workies, the other border team, are softened up by Orange Hawks before they trek west in week 2 while reigning champions Mudgee Dragons are heading to Orange Cyms and have the favourites tag again this season.
