A Gilgranda pilot has lit up the skies, embracing the Anzac spirit during a packed ceremony in Orange.
Local RSL sub-branch president Chris Colvin said the flyover would be spectacular.
‘’They have told us the aviator will fly just 200m above Robertson Park, they keep the pilots name secret but last year he was 1 minute 30 late but the crowd will be in awe.’’
Not long later the Western Plains Roulette stormed over the ceremony and for a moment the tragedies and frailties of war were forgotten as it pierced a path you almost thought you could touch.
"The guys at Gilgranda are the best in the world and they practice with precision and showcases Australia’s top guns," Mr Colvin said.
‘’He was only 35 seconds late this time," he joked.
The DC 135 headed to Blayney then Grenfell before heading to home base.
ANZAC March in Orange.
The Central West began Anzac Day reflections with a 4:30 am beginning at Bathurst Carillion and in Orange record crowds attended the Dawn and Main Service with hundreds of children, ex-service men and women and community groups leading the way.
In Western Plains big numbers too marking respect for our fallen, 110 years since the Gallilopi landing.
