Western Plains delivers an eligible farmer - again!Farmer Dustin from Condobolin is looking for love on "Farmer wants a wife"

Are you single and enjoy a "mean mashed potato?" Read on to find out more!

For the second year in a row, the entire nation has been scoured and the Western Plains has provided a farming bachelor for the popular TV show, "Farmer wants a Wife".

Last year, farmer Andrew from Narromine threw himself into the popular television show and ended up happily with Claire who made the move from Tasmania to Andrew's farm.

Earlier this year, when the applications were opened for the next season of the drama, some local Facebook pages cheekily suggested locals apply - and whether a result of this or not, "Farmer Dustin" from Condobolin has been chosen as one of the next eight contestants.

When asked to list things that make him unique, Dustin mentioned his flair with mashed potato and a hatred of peas!

Farmer Dustin works on a mixed farm running cattle, sheep, goats, and cropping and says he is driven to succeed on the family farm and his grandfather was one of the first farmers to grow crop in the Condo area.

"I would say I can sometimes be a little quiet and shy at first," Dustin said. "But once I am comfortable around you, you won’t be able to keep me quiet! I am fun, happy, love a laugh and to take the mickey. But I am very serious about work, the farm and my family. I am very ambitious, driven to succeed and grow the family farm."

Dustin said he is looking for a partner aged from 22 - 27 who is easy-going, happy, thick-skinned, loyal and family-oriented like he is.

"My family is really important to me, so someone that understands that and is family-oriented themselves is a must.," he said. "I love fishing, cricket, farming, my dogs – Flick & Sam, food and cooking. I enjoy anything outdoors, spending time with my mates and travelling. I really love trying new things."

Asked to list the things he looks for in a relationship, Dustin said good communication, loyalty, positivity, resilience and a good attitude are the foundations he looks for.

"I like to think I am easy to get along with. I like to joke around and have a laugh. I like to keep things interesting and keep the morale high. I am happy, fun, positive, loyal, fair and loving. I don’t claim to be the ultimate romantic, but I have sent flowers for no reason at all and that seemed to get a pretty good reaction," he said.

Dustin said he is close to his youngest brother, Nelson as they share a lot of interests and think similarly, and becoming a father is on his agenda for the future.

"Yes, I am looking forward to becoming a dad one day," Dustin said. "I do want to build a solid foundation with someone first, but I love the idea of being a young(ish) father and being able to keep up with my kids. In five years time I would love to be happily married and have kids running around, if not one on the way. I would love to buy more land and expand our farming operation."

Love is the most important thing in life, Dustin said.

"Without loving relationships you don’t really have anything. I have great examples of successful loving relationships to look up to in my parents and grandparents. Ultimately, I would love that for myself. I am genuinely looking for a partner for life so I would like to meet someone who is ready to settle down and ready to move to the farm. I’m so excited to meet you and I hope that you’re just a genuine, lovely woman who is ready to get to know me and hopefully fall in love."

Anyone wishing to apply to meet Dustin, or any of the other farmers, can get in touch with the television program.
