Wet weather causes truck to roll south of Coonabarabran

Emergency services attended a truck crash just before 5am this morning after the vehicle tipped.

Sergeant Wiegold from Coonabarabran Police said that thankfully, there were no injuries.

“It was heading towards Gilgandra on the Newell Highway and it just rolled over due to wet weather,” Sergeant Wiegold said.

No other vehicles were involved.

According to Live Traffic NSW, the Highway has been closed in both directions.

Traffic northbound from Gilgandra has been diverted onto the Castlereagh Highway to Mendooran, and Southbound from Gilgandra onto the Mendooran Road to Mendooran and onto the Castlereagh Highway to Gilgandra.

The diversion is suitable for all vehicles up to and including B-Doubles.
